The President of Chilen Music has worked in TV, Film and Music for nine years. She served as an executive in TV Programming for multiple high-ranking national networks, acted in various production (executive/supervising) roles and provided unique executive decision making and creative input in various music areas. Her experience in and passion for music spans the globe. She has supervised production on concerts from areas including Beijing, Brixton, Brussels as well as various areas in the U.S. She created and produced a national weekly music video series in which she introduced her audience to new, never before seen music videos from around the world. She has also always had a passion to showcase music from "indie" music artists she considered noteworthy to share with her viewers.
Taking these years of experience in TV and Music, along with her considerable involvement in the Film industry*, she created Chilen.

How Chilen came about and its role as an independent music supervisor
Using Lena's background and her knowledge of her core group of musicians 1 , she and her team "match" their music to suit your story needs. Chilen makes it a priority to keep current with the TV and Film trades to know what is happening with your characters, updates to your storylines, etc. We make sure to know what productions are currently underway or are in planning stages. We know what series have been picked up for another season and what new characters have been added and what their attributes may be.
We slowly add musicians/bands to our list as we become comfortable that we have "learned" the ones we have as part of Chilen's repertoire so far.
As for the songs themselves, we make sure to know their lyrics as well as the "feel" of the music. If we know your programming, and we know their lyrics and sound, an ideal match can be made!

If you are visiting NY and have a special event you would like to promote, like a CD release... Chilen will do our best to work with you!!! We can book an evening where we have like bands open for you. We book a great venue — basically create an EVENT: Chilen music presents, [your band], at [venue] with [supporting bands], co-sponsored by [xxx company]. Again, we do this if we can give it our 100%. We can only do this if we are not currently working an array of licensing deals. No matter who the client, what the purpose, we make sure we can give it or them our full attention.
